Commercial Soundproofing Products - Sizes, Fitment, Application : Noise Barrier Materials
Whether you are looking for an acoustic barrier insert for a noise barrier application or acoustic underlay for commercial flooring to enhance soundproofing properties within your application we are confident we can supply the right product to meet your requirements.
Noise Barrier Materials
These noise barrier materials are usually dense upwards of 5Kg/m2 and are usually in excess of 2mm thick. They can be fitted into noise control barriers within the overall make-up of the acoustic sandwich. Sometimes these are then encased within a waterproof durable outer casing to protect the soundproofing materials inside, which is then commonly screen printed with a companies logo on. As requirements for noise in construction has increased over the years, noise control barriers are becoming ever present as both temporary and permanent fixes for noise complaints. Some of our soundproofing materials are suitable to be fitted within the laminate soundproofing layers fitted within noise barriers. One such product is DeciLAM.
Thickness : 3mm
Weight : 5Kg/m2
Roll size : 6m x 1.2m
Properties : Tested to EuroCLASS B-s2-d0, flexible, waterproof, self adhesive, application temps : -40C to +60C
This 3mm commercial soundproofing product offers a sound reduction of 27db reduction - Rw (weighted sound reduction index - BS EN ISO 717-1) has self adhesive to one side which will bond to many secondary acoustic products, allowing for hand or machine lamination in post processes.
When laminated to additional soundproofing products DeciLAM can assist the overall soundproofing material combination in becoming more rigid, dependent upon the secondary soundproofing materials. A dense PE foam is usually a good secondary product to enhance the noise barrier's properties by a adding thickness instead of further weight. From our previous research into noise barrier applications and performance we would recommend 40-60Kg/m3 PE at 50-100mm thick to offer an overall soundproofing material sound reduction performance of around 35dB. This is usually enough sound reduction performance for many construction projects and dependant upon the position of the barrier from the source to the receiver.
This acoustic laminate is then usually fitted onto a carrier surface of GRP or treated waterproof cardboard to provide stiffness, assist ease of fitment and provide additional acoustic performance.
All of our products are manufactured in the UK
