There are several different formulations of mass loaded vinyl on the market which offer different properties dependent upon how they are manufactured and the polymers used in their make-up.  The main elements to consider when selecting a mass loaded vinyl product is its suitability to the commercial soundproofing application you are intending to use it for.  Some mass loaded vinyl products are filled with toxic polymers and when ignited give off toxic chemicals within the smoke.  Some mass loaded vinyl products which are manufactured in the UK do not....

Applications

Mass loaded vinyls can be fitted to the floor of a room with ease.  Once fitted either DeciLAM or Deadener VB5 offer 27dB reduction in sound transmission effectively blocking out unwanted noise transferring from floor to floor in commercial soundproofing applications. 
Mass loaded vinyl products can be fitted within the wall structure of a building providing both comfort and the added security of a EuroCLASS B-s2-d0 flammability rating.  In particular DeciLAM and DeadenerVB5 mass loaded vinyl products have a rating of low toxicity upon burning meaning they do not release the harmful gases compared to some competitor products. 
Mass loaded vinyl products such as DeciLAM and DeadenerVB5 can also be fitted into ceilings and roofing systems with a high level of noise reduction offered for the products thickness and weight.  Whilst this is a slightly more specialist application area of commercial soundproofing products uses the benefits usually outweight the added costs in fitment and were happy to advise on a commercial soundproofing application specific basis.
