Our Van Insulation Guide 2025 including new products to the van insulation market - by Sound Insulations Ltd your van insulation supplier.
Welcome to our Van Insulation Guide encompassing your van insulation blog. Some of the materials included within this blog are optimised to bring you superior acoustic and thermal insulation properties. We will cover within this van insulation guide which type of insulation products are suitable for which areas of the vehicle.
Where to start when insulating your van?
- Ensure you have an empty van with panels removed from all areas
- Clean the vans panels with a suitable cleaning product
- Measure the areas to work out m2 requirements for your products
- Consult an appropriate van guide like this one to understand products
We will cover the rear of the van in this van insulation guide.
You may want to fit the van insulation products starting with the roof, working down the side panels, covering the rear doors, followed by the wheelarches, then floor pan. We will therefore follow this path within this guide.
Van Roof - Insulation guide and product fitment:
Suggested Products: ButylMAT, PVC Nitrile Class 0 Foam
ButylMAT
PVC Nitrile Class 0 Foam Insulation

Ensure your PVC Nitrile Class 0 Foam is cut neatly to the panel shape (you can use a templating material, measurements or paper to do this.) Firmly apply to the van roof (most vans can accomodate our 19mm PVC Nitrile Foam)
